The Butterfly Bath

The Butterfly Bath transformed an existing combined space through a bathroom and laundry room remodel that retained the established fixture and appliance layout. Berkshire Build & Craft assisted with the design and completed the renovation, using distinctive finishes to give the compact shared room a stronger identity while preserving its everyday function.

The bathroom side is defined by colorful butterfly wallpaper above newly installed white beadboard, a new pedestal sink, toilet, faucet, decorative mirror and butterfly-inspired light fixture. A bold black-and-white epoxy floor carries through the entire room, creating a graphic foundation that ties the detailed bathroom finishes to the adjoining laundry area.

Because the original plumbing fixtures and laundry appliances remained in their existing locations, the renovation did not require major mechanical, electrical or plumbing upgrades. The laundry area was refreshed with blue walls, new white beadboard and a more useful open-shelf system, while the butterfly wallpaper was limited to the bathroom side. The completed room shows how coordinated finishes, storage and color can transform a practical shared space without unnecessarily changing a functional layout.
